Date: September 29, 2007 Location: Hoyle Field Awards: 1st and 2nd band in class Judges:We will not be using the NCBA sanctioned sheets. Time: Competing bands should perform at least 6 minutes, but no more than 10 minutes of music. Classes: Bands will compete in one of three or four competition classes, depending on the number of participants. Rules: This is an open event for bands of all styles. Bands must adhere strictly to the final performance schedule. Bands may compete in a larger class but are not allowed to compete in a smaller class. Tickets: Admission is $6.00 for spectators. Directors and chaperones (one per ten band students) are admitted free of charge. All other band parents must pay the admission price. Facilities: Each band will have 30-45 minutes with one of the music judges in a clinic/rehearsal setting. The performance field is close to the audience seating as there is no track around the football field. Rehearsal areas are available during assigned times only. Indoor warm-up areas will be provided in the event of inclement weather. Dressing rooms are available during specified times. Entry Fee: The registration fee is $75.00, made payable to the Roanoke Rapids Band Boosters. Please click below for online registration.
